A 4 Ring French link gag is a type of mouthpiece featuring a double-jointed design, with an oval shaped centre piece that lies across the horse’s tongue. 

The French link mouthpiece distributes pressure more evenly across the horse’s tongue. The centre link allows for independent movement of each side of the bit, facilitating clearer and more nuanced communication between horse and rider. Available with a smooth or fat centre link: the smooth french link is a finer mouthpiece which works well for smaller mouthed horses or horses who need a smaller thickness to demand their response.  The fat french link is thicker and therefor more forgiving, for use with softer horses.
