This pelham sits exceptionally well in the mouth and over the tongue with a gentle curve incorporating the spacious port. Designed to reduce tongue pressure and allow the softer horse to work off other pressure points on the pelham.

The Hartwell Ported Pelham offers a softer action on the palate - fantastic for horses who resist the "nutcracker" action of the single jointed bit.
