Our English Copper Jointed pelham helps encourage the horses mouth to salivate and accept the bit. The single joint creates a nut cracker effect, creating pressure on the tongue.
The Pelham acts a bit like a snaffle until the bottom rein is used, it then applies pressure to the poll and the curb chain will have an effect. The curb chain can be adjusted depending on how strong your horse is, the tighter it is the more pressure it applies.
