Summer has come to an end, and with it came the end of the UK outdoor polo season. However, we’re not slowing down here at Emita. Arena polo season is here - so we’re busy making sure you’ve got everything you need for the months ahead, whatever the weather.
Arena polo has a new set of challenges for players. A smaller playing area, tighter turns and a fast-paced nature. So, having the correct equipment makes all the difference.
Whether you're a regular arena player or giving it a go for the first time, here's our guide to the essential arena polo equipment you'll need this autumn and winter.

Fibercane Arena Mallets for Arena Polo
Ok, let’s start with the obvious. You’re going to need a Mallet! But, with the quick reactions, precision and control needed in arena polo, you’ll need a Fibercane one. They have a composite shaft, which is designed to offer more consistency and durability during those intense chukkas! Plus, they’re resistant to temperature and moisture changes (we see you, British weather). So, they’re well suited for winter games
These Mallets also have a larger sweet spot and minimal vibration, which helps you to maintain control throughout play.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be an Emita Mallet without custom options! You can design your own, choosing colours, initials, logos and designs to truly make your stick yours!

Pampeano Arena Polo Balls
Arena Balls are unlike the hard plastic ones used in outdoor games. They’re larger and softer - which is best for the smaller indoor spaces. (We don’t fancy getting hit by a fast-flying plastic ball, thanks!)
The Pampeano Arena Balls are a great choice, offering quality and reliability. They’re built to last - they will be hit repeatedly off walls, the ground, other sticks - so their consistent performance is essential.
Available in bright orange and white, they can easily be seen in lower-visibility games.

MacWet Gloves
It’s not ideal during a game of polo to lose grip on your mallet. If the weather is not in your favour, you may have to deal with cold hands, wet reins and slippery mallet grips… but not if you have these gloves.
MacWet Gloves are one of our favourite pieces of kit, particularly at this time of year. They have specialist grip technology, helping you maintain control even in the rainiest of conditions! They’re lightweight, breathable and comfortable, so you have all the flexibility you need.

Emita Polo Knee Pads
With Arena Polo being much faster-paced than outdoor polo, in a smaller space, the risk of injury is higher. So, having the right protective gear is paramount. We’ve designed our Emita Polo Knee Pads to provide the ultimate protection, without compromising on comfort or movement.
Handmade from the finest materials, our Knee Pads are designed to mould quickly to the shape of your knee. The suede interior helps prevent slipping, while secure Velcro straps keep everything in place throughout your chukkas. They’re not bulky at all, and they feature strong side protection, too.
Available in children's, adult and XL sizes, our Knee Pads are currently available in black, with dark brown coming soon!

Arena Polo Essential Bundle
Let’s make things simple - and save yourself some cash, too! Our Arena Essential Bundle is a convenient way to get your arena season kit sorted in one purchase. It includes a custom Fibercane Mallet, MacWet Gloves and an English Polo Whip.
Rather than shopping for everything separately - and ultimately paying more - you can pick up your arena equipment together, saving £48 while you’re at it. It makes a great option for players preparing for the winter season or looking to refresh their kit.
